Airport art comes in many forms these days.
And right now it’s showing up in the form of a hologram at Pittsbugh International Airport. (PIT).
Created by Pittsburgh-based Joe Zeff Design, the temporary 7-foot-tall hologram installation at Pittsburgh International Airport features short peformances by three members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
The hologram display is installed in PIT’s Airside Central Core and appears in time to welcome visitors traveling to PIttsburgh for the NFL draft.
And while the NFL Draft events take place over just three days, the hologram will peform “live” around-the-clock for all arriving and departing passengers through the end of April.
The featured Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performers include Dough Rosenthal (trombone), Rhian Kenny (flute) and Dylan Naroff, whose original violin arrangment of Styx’s “Renegade,” an unnoffical Pittsburgh Steelers anthem, is sure to be strike a chord with fans.
