Passengers on Southwest Airlines flights can usually choose between a complimentary snack of pretzels or peanuts.  But not always. According to an entry in today’s Southwest Airlines blog,  “Nuts about Southwest,” travelers with peanut allergies can request a ‘no-peanut’ flight. No word on whether or not you can request a “no Peanuts” flight, though.
There’s a big, new tax and duty free shopping area in Terminal 5 at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport that looks pretty snazzy. File under: every bit helps. So far this year, Seattle-based Alaska Airlines has donated more than 80,000 pounds of unused first-class snacks to food banks in Seattle and Portland. According to an airline spokesperson, the donated food is collected from the snack baskets offered to first class passengers and from meals provided for flight attendants
