Do space aliens eat Toblerone bars at the airport?

We wish we were on a beach. But we’re here in the office working on stories about going to the beach.

And, of course, airports.

Outerspace aliens at Denver International Airport must move along

Legend has it that there are space aliens and lizard people living in the underground tunnels at Denver International Airport (DEN).

It could be true. And if is, those beings will soon need to find a new place to hang out. Or figure out a way to get along with stressed out humans trying to get to their flights.

That’s because DEN airport is planning to repurpose some of its subterranean real estate into pedestrian walkways that can serve as alternatives to, and backups for, the airport’s troubled train system.

We wrote about the plan for The Points Guy.

Want – or need – a crystal Toblerone?

Toblerone has partnered up with Swarovski to make crystal replicas of the original Toblerone chocolate bar and is auctioning these off in partnership with airports, with 100% of the proceeds going to charities chosen by the airports.

You can submit a bid at the Toblerone displays at the airports listed below through July 31, 2026.

No need to be traveling to take part. Bidding is available online through July 31, 2026 here.

If the $5,000 starting bid for the all-crystal Toblerone bar is too steep for your budget, you can still get a sparkly bar to take home.

Toblerone has a limited-edition Ultimate Gift Box adorned with Swarovski crystals on the outside and a Milk Toblerone bar inside available in World Travel Retail branded airport shops.

Each shop sets it own price, but the bar is selling at JFK airport is $35

Here’s where you’ll find the special bars at airports around the world.
