Stuck at the Airport headquarters is in Seattle, so Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is our home base airport.
And we love it.
We love it, of course for the great adventures that start and end there.
We also love it for the live music program, the wonderful and ever-expanding art collection, the Central Terminal, the lovely new Concourse C expansion and the fact that it’s easy to get to and from the airport on light rail for just a few bucks.
For starters.
We also love the King County International Airport / Boeing Field (BFI)
King County International Airport – Boeing Field (BFI) is a busy general aviation airport just 5 miles from downtown Seattle.
It has a flight-themed art collection and serves a lot of private and corporate jets as well as two small commercial passenger airlines, Kenmore Air and SeaPort Airlines.
SeaPort Airlines is the newcomer here and has been offering flights between King County International Airport (BFI) and the general aviation part of Portland International Airport since 2025. Their flights between BFI and Felts Field (SFF) – the general avation airport in Spokane, Washington – began in March 2026.
SeaPort also offered a seasonal service between the general aviation parts of Portland International Airport and Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) in Oregon this past summmer and may expand that service in the future.
SeaPort flies Pilatus PC-12 turboprop planes with 9 passenger seats.
I recently flew all four of SeaPort Airlines’ routes in the Pacific Northwest to see what the experience was like.
Like all the other passengers I spoke with, I loved that I could arrive just 20 minutes before a flight, park for free, walk straight into the tiny terminals and board the plane without passing through the typical commercial airport security process.
