We spoke too soon.
Anxious to begin celebrating the 4th of July holiday, the Stuck at The Airport shopping and souvenir team declared the free postcard mailing offer at PHL Airport as the Airport Amenity of the Week.
They should have made it a nomination for Airport Amenity of the Week because the Stuck at the Airport charm team has entered a worthy contender.
Take a look at this model railroad running through the baggage claim at Chattanooga Airport (CHA) in Tennessee.
Built by members of Chattanooga Modular Modelers, this is the first of two model trains celebrating the city’s railroad heritage that will be running at the airport, with the second to arrive in a few weeks.
Planes, baggage claim, and… trains?🚂That's right! We're celebrating Chattanooga's railroad heritage with custom train displays in baggage claim. The first train is already running, with a second arriving in a few weeks.

Make sure to check it out the next time you're at CHA! pic.twitter.com/qPf00kY75P
The charming bag claim model railroad at Chattanooga Airport is a good reminder to check out airport bag claim areas, even if you haven’t checked a bag.
Otherwise, you’d miss the aquariums the red and blue bag claim areas at Tampa International Airport (TPA) and John Peña’s “thinking bags” sculpture in the bag claim at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), which uses classic ‘split-flap’ boards to let us know what some of the bags on the carousel might be feeling.
