Enjoy Denver Int’l Airport’s Park on the Plaza

Pre-security outdoor spaces at airports are rare.

But Denver International Airport (DEN) has an 82,000 square-foot open-air plaza that’s put to good use in multiple seasons.

Located between the Jeppesen Terminal and the Westin Hotel, the plaza turns into a park during the summer.

Passengers and visitors can play mini golf or cornhole, relax on lounge seating and artificial turf and enjoy concerts and other events from now through September 30, 2026.

Better yet, all activities and events on the plaza are free.

What’s happening at DEN’s Park on the Plaza?

Want to play mini golf?

DEN’s Park on the Plaza is hosting a free nine-hole course daily (weather permitting) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through June 30.

DEN will celebrate Pride with Lisonthedrums, a locally based and world-renowned drummer and DJ, for an afternoon of music and dancing on June 11 from 1-2:30 p.m.

On June 19 at 11 a.m. Denver’s own Brothers of Brass will do a pop-up performance in recognition of Juneteenth.

And August marks the return of DEN’s Concerts on the Fly, a six-week concert series featuring local and national acts.

The first concert will take place on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. The concerts are free, but are ticketed events.

For each concert:

  • 1:30 p.m.: Doors open
  • 2:30 p.m.: Opening act performs
  • 4 p.m.: Headliner performs

Tickets for each concerts will be released at 10 a.m. MDT on Monday one week prior to the performance.
