Airport PEEPS party
The Just Born factory that makes all the PEEPS we eat around Easter is located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, not far from Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) in Allentown.
That means that airport passengers sometimes get a PEEPS perk.
During the Easter holiday each year, passengers are treated to a free PEEPS candy carousel in bag claim, along with opportunities to get a photo with the PEEPS chick.
More reasons to pack light: checked bag fees on the rise. Again.

In a move sure to be followed by other airlines, both United Airlines and JetBlue recently raised checked bag fees, blaming the move on rising jet fuel prices.
For tickets purchased on or after April 3, 2026, United is raising checked bag fees by up by $10 for your first and second checked bag and by $50 for your third checked bag in most markets.
For passengers who don’t get their bag fees waived, the first piece of checked luggage will now cost $45 on flights within the United States, Mexico, Canada and Latin America. The second bag will cost $55.
Fees increase by $5 for those who wait to pay their checked bag fee less than 24 hours before their flight.
JetBlue raised checked bag fees on March 30.
For passengers who don’t have bag fees waived, it will now cost $39 (up from $35) for the first checked bag on a domestic JetBlue flight during off-peak seasons and $49 (up from $40), during peak travel periods. Wait to pay for your checked bag fee less than 24 hours before a flight, and the cost rises an extra $10.
In 2024, U.S. airlines earned more the $7.2 billion from checked bag fees, according to the Bureau of Transportation Stastistics.
Totals for the fourth quarter of 2025 are still pending, but industry bag fee revenue shot up after May 2025, once Southwest Airlines began charging for checked bags.
Are you rethinking your checked bag plans?
