Pearls - the birthsone for June

If you’re passing through San Diego International Airport anytime soon, leave time to do a little window shopping for gems in an exhibition of birthstones in various cuts, designs, and styles, courtesy of the Gemological Institute of America.

Emeralds, the birthstone for May

There are rings, necklaces and even this (replica) flora motif bra set with synthetic rubies, emeralds and cubic zirconium, for April’s birthstone, the diamond.

The gemstone exhibit is in Terminal 2 West, post-security, through February 2012.
