Calgary International Airport (YYC) is getting a new runway, a new airport hotel and a giant new concourse.

Lots of things are changing for this fast-growing airport, but on my quick transfer there yesterday I was pleased to see that the Spaceport is still intact.

The kid-oriented play space has exhibits and interactive displays about aviation, communications and space and includes a quarter-scale model of the NASA shuttle Orbiter and a moon rock from NASA. They also host birthday parties.

Just look for the space cowboy.
