Boston’s North End – and its famous Italian bakeries – are tantalizingly close to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
But now one of those famous North End bakeries, Mike’s Pastry, with its legendary cannoli and its iconic take-away boxes tied up with string, has opened a branch at the airport.
Located in Terminal C and open from 5 am until about 10 pm (or 30 minutes before the last flight departure), this pastry paradise serves cannolis in 18-20 flavors.
The menu also includes lobster tails (cream puff dough inside a Sfogliatella Shell, filled with cream), Boston cream pie, whoopie pies, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, tiramisu, flavored cheesecakes, cupcakes, muffins and more.
And because the best cannoli is a freshly-stuffed cannoli, if you’re getting cannoli to go you can get a cannoli-making kit.
And yes, specialty coffee drinks too.
So now there’s another reason, besides the Legal Sea Food lobster rolls, to show up early for your flight or hope for a delay at BOS airport.
