The StuckatTheAirport.com team is on the move this week celebrating milestones and visiting museums.
Paul Revere’s lantern and very old tea at the Concord Museum
The Concord Museum is located in Concord, Massachusetts – the town where the “shot heard around the world” sparked the American Revolution.
As you may imagine, the museum’s collection includes high profile Revolutionary War objects, including Paul Revere’s Lantern, which was one of the lanterns hung as a signal in the belfy of Old North Church.

If you can make your way to the museum before September 7, 2026 you’ll be able to view more treasures in the museum’s current exhibition, Revolutionary Legacies.
The exhibit includes rare historical relics, textiles, clothing and personal objects, including an infant’s bootie made from the original red coat of a British soldier who died in battle and a relic made from George Washington’s coffin.

During our visit, the museum’s Director of Collections, Jessica Desany, was kind enough to bring out some bonus items from the collection for our quest to learn about and collect the stories of very, very old food.
In addition to the museum’s small sample of hard tack (dense crackers) dating back to the Civil War, Desany showed us this tiny cube of tea, wrapped in paper with the indentifying inscription: “Chinese Medicinal/ Tea brought to N.Y./ by the Junk/ 1847.”

And: somethings to see at an airport
And here’s an exhibit that caught our attention while poking arond social media. We’re adding Norfolk International Airport (ORF) to our list of Airports with Great Art Programs.
