Book lovers celebrated National Library Day this week on April 6 and are getting ready to mark National Library Week later this month, April 19 to 25.

So it’s a good time to take a look at some of the ways to find reading material at airports.

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is home to Renaissance Books, a quirky used bookstore that opened in 1979 and is located pre-security.

Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut recently installed a bookvending machine.

Chattanooga Airport (CHA) in Tennessee is one of a handful of airports with a public library-managed little library on site.

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has a great spot for its book exchange program.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is one of the many airports that participate in the Little Free Library program.

And of the close to a dozen U.S. airports hosting free short story dispensers from Short Edition, Oregon’s Eugene Airport (EUG) dispenses the most short stories of all.
