Everyone has gone Jimothy crazy

The world has gone crazy for ‘Jimothy,’ an odd-shaped raccoon from Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood that showed up on social media over the weekend.

Images of Jimothy have already shown up in murals, memes, paintings, crochet projects and other crafty mediums.

And next weekend, a Seattle City Councilmember plans a gathering to officially proclaim the Summer of 2026, as “Jimothy Summer.”

Of course, airports have already jumped into Jimothy’s world.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) jumped in early. And now Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has too.

And here’s an update on the Jimothy painting up top by Seattle’s Ryan Henry Ward (Henry). He auctioned off the original on Instagram over the weekend for over $6,543.21, with all the proceeds going to a local food bank.

And now a growling list of Seattle-based companies, including Amazon, T-Mobile and Alaska Airlines are stepping up to match the amount.

Thank, Jimonthy!
