11 U.S. cities are hosting FIFA World Cup soccer games this summer. Cities in Canada and Mexico are hosting games too.
And airports in those host cities are having fun welcoming soccer fans with special events and activities, including live match viewing zones with giant screens.
Here are some highlights of the World Cup-related airport activities we pulled together for The Points Guy site, plus some bonus information.
At SEA Airport: the Concourse C upgrade reveal

As World Cup fans began arriving in Seattle in advance of the matches to be held in the city, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) cut the ribbon on a major upgrade for Concourse C.
There upgrade brings new art and amenities to SEA, includling the airport’s first (covered) outdoor viewing deck. There are also new restaurants and retail spots — many of them local — and kiosks highlighting small and emerging businesses.
World Cup activities include a virtual soccer simulator and a big screen spectator zone for watching matches in the Central Terminal.

Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is offering virtual soccer games, giveaways, soccer match screenings and more in multiple spots throughout the terminals.
The airport’s new 14-foot-tall digitial sphere – Atlas – is looking like a giant soccer ball. And there are about 50 hidden soccer ball sculptures by Atlanta artist and sculptor Jourdan Joly scattered throughout the terminals.
What else do airports have in store for soccer fans?

Here are a few more examples of what airports have on deck for soccer fans this week. If you’re traveling to or through an airport in a World Cup host city, be sure to look around for the fun.
Philadephia International Airport (PHL) and many other airports will be handing out giveways and prizes to celebrate World Cup travel.
And those in search of souvenirs will have no trouble finding shops selling World Cup gear. There are also vending machines filled with official FIFA World Cup products in more than 15 airports.

At Dallas Love Field (DAL), the art display cases are filled with FIFA-related objects and works from the city’s public art collection.
And Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is welcoming fans with a fun sign made from dozens of mini versions of the Trionda, the official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
