Winter weather is still wreaking havoc with air travel. As of 1 a.m. EST on Wednesday, flight tracking site FlightAware was showing more than 1,000 flight cancellations. Flight operations were scheduled to resume at the Houston Airports – IAH and HOU – but in other parts of the country, some airports were closed to air traffic due to storms.
The airfield and tower at CHS are currently closed, however our crews will be working overnight to clear the airfield.
