Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP) is the newest airport to offer travelers an outdoor patio and observation deck. The outdoor space is connected to a full-service bar and is located post-security, between Gates 1 and 3.
The new Neuces Brewing Bar at Corpus Christi International Airport is an outpost of Nueces Brewing Company known for its local craft brews and slow-smoked Texas barbecue.
The airport bar has an 18-seat white quartz horseshoe-shaped bar with charging ports, a separate seating area with 23 more seats and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Adjacent to the bar, there’s a 1,200-square-foot elevated outdoor patio and observation deck offering 180-degree views of the airfield and beyond.
The deck has 9.5-foot glass walls, an animal relief area, benches, table and planters filled with drought-resistant plants.
Other amenities due at Corpus Christi International Airport in the next 12 months include one of Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” gift and convenience stores, a locally owned espresso shop and an airport lounge.
In the meantime, check out the art and history exhibits at Corpus Christi International Airport. Permanent and temporary exhibits include sculptures and photographs, a model of the USS Lexington (which was the oldest working carrier in the United States Navy when decommissioned in 1991) and art and artifacts from the Art Museum of South Texas and from the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.
There’s also a collection of military model airplanes which includes this Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, an American single-engine, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938.
