Trave tidbits: Juneteenth at San Diego Int’l Airport

SAN JUNETEENTH

On Wednesday, June 19th, there will be a special Juneteenth performance of African-American music and culture by Allan Phillips at San Diego International Airport from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Terminal 2 West baggage claim area.

Juneteenth – also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day – celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. The concert is part of the airport’s performing arts program , which presents dance, theater, music and other events at three spots in the airport throughout the year.
