		<description>For years in Cedar Rapids, the mascot of the local children&#039;s theatre troupe was - (wait for it) - yes, an ear of corn.  How clever, no?

But for some odd reason, its name was &quot;Playtime Poppy.&quot;  But it was definitely corn, not a poppy.

I think that explains some of the weirdness of my youth.</description>
